Amy is a fun, outgoing, and passionate teacher who is dedicated to fostering a love of reading in every child she works with. Her dream is to create a space where young learners feel inspired, confident, and excited to explore the world through books. Amy believes that reading is the key to unlocking endless possibilities, and she is committed to helping children discover that magic.

When Amy is not teaching, you can find her crafting, indulging in her favorite junk food and spending time with her 3 kiddos and husband. One day, Amy hopes to combine her love for storytelling and education by writing her own books for children. The joy of inspiring young minds is her true passion! One of her favorite quotes that she reminds her students of often is, "Remember this, popcorn is prepared all in the same pot, in the same heat, in the same oil, but the kernels don't all pop at the same time. Don't compare yourself to others because your time to pop is coming.” ~Unknown.

Meet Mary Dansky

Graduated from the University of Connecticut

  • Bachelors in Elementary Education with a mathematics concentration

  • Masters in Curriculum and Instruction

  • Currently obtaining an Early Literacy Endorsement

  • Has been teaching for 11 years

Mary’s passion lies in helping students experience those "ah-ha" moments—the moments when concepts click and understanding blooms. Mary believes that it does not matter where a kid starts, it is where a kid finishes. One of the biggest reasons Mary wanted to start Bridges Learning Lab was to continue to connect with kids and watch them grow. There is truly nothing else that compares to seeing a child reach their potential.

In the very distant past, Mary was a Division 1 athlete and team captain for UConn. She is extremely competitive and believes in the power of teamwork! Mary has also coached for Penn High School and Irish Aquatics. In her down time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and together, they are excited to welcome a baby boy to the family in April. Mary also enjoys doing puzzles, watching F1, and traveling.
